Until we get more snow, we are not recommending riding at this time. Lower elevation valley trails are bare or have minimal snow cover. Please do not ride on any bare section of trail. Higher elevations are mixed with ice as well so caution should be used. We’ll update as we have more info. Thanks and think snow!

Trails are looking good!
Small disclaimer – I have not been on all our trails, so there will be some variation, but I think the majority of our trails are looking good now. We got the high side of what was forecast for snow – maybe a little more! Got out at 4am to groom and groomed a number of our trails in the National forest (see pics). Having ridden those trails yesterday and groomed this morning, they are all in very good shape now. Enjoy the riding while you can, it is supposed to warm up this week 🙁
Trails are looking good!
With the snow we’ve had in the past week or so, trails are looking much better now. We’ve been out and have groomed the majority of our trails at least once. We still need to do more and things aren’t perfect, but they might be the best we’ve seen this year (either that or I’ve got a short memory!).
So enjoy riding and as always, please use caution. Forecast this weekend looks questionable. If we do get any rain, please refrain from riding during any rain and wait until things get cold before riding following it. This will help keep the trails in the best shape possible! Happy Riding!
Getting back to winter!
We’ve had some snow the past few days and more expected Wednesday. Groomer will be out this week. Expect variable conditions, but for things to improve as we groom. As always, ride with caution.
Friday Trail Update
Was out grooming earlier this morning. Here’s some pictures. Trails are anywhere from awful to fair and maybe even good, although good would just be some short sections or the gov rd which is nearly always good. 745 Between RD10 and RD11 has a section in very rough shape. Use caution or avoid. Trail has very uneven terrain with water undermining sections of the snow. It was groomed one way today but still needs more grooming/snow to get it in better shape.
Groomer was also out to RD59 last night. Similar conditions.
We need more snow to make a big impact. Use caution on all our trails. Even if it looks groomed and seems fine, that can change quickly.

Colder morning today!
The storm we had wasn’t good for the trails at all. On the plus side we didn’t get much ice at all. We also didn’t get much of any snow at the end of the storm. Trails are mostly hard packed, with variable coverage – mostly decent except for some water bars and any other spots where water was an issue due to the rain and melting snow. We need more snow to get things back to where they were! If you ride, please ride with caution.
A section of trail on 112 North heading towards Rochester/Bethel was washed out with the river. You should be able to get by staying close to the edge of the road, but its recommended to go around. Bethel grooms this section and more snow will be needed before they will be able to groom and get it back to normal. Large chunks of ice and water/ice cover the trail.
Stay off the trails until we get back to winter temps please!
Currently raining and expected to be the case much of today with warm temps. Then turning colder with ice and snow. Please remain of the trails until cold weather returns and we have a chance to check the trails. If we get a lot of ice, expect trees to be down and lots of branches hanging into the trail.
If you are able to help clear trails this weekend after the storm passes through, please let us know. I’m sure we can use all the help we can get. I expect we’ll be out Sunday assessing things.
We’ve got snow!
More snow fell today (about 6-8″). Groomer was out last Friday and Saturday and most of our trails we’re groomed. With the new snow and riding since then, we’ll get back out there as soon as we can. Things are looking pretty good for this time of year, but as always, ride with caution. We are still early in the season and with the wind today, I expect trees could also be down. Hope to see you out there!
Season is approaching, trail work is ongoing!
If you enjoy riding the trails over the winter, please take some time to volunteer over the next few weeks to help get trail markers and posts out on the trails. It is never to early to get your kids out there as well! Conner at 2.5 helped re-deck a bridge yesterday! He may not have done the best job nailing in the nails, but he did great giving out nails to anyone who needed them.
