There’s still riding higher up (73,74,75,745..etc). Get it while you can, there’s still a little time left.

Unfortunately due to the warm weather and rain this week, our valley trails are now closed. We still have good riding on 73/74/75 and 745 – you will just need to trailer to the end of Upper Michigan. There’s also room for a trailer or two along the road by Dot’s field (West Branch Farm) on Lower Michigan.
It’s been a great season and we hate to close trails, but we also need to respect our land owners and not damage their property. Thanks for your cooperation!
We’ve had to close a section of 100 between RD9 and RD15. You can detour this section by going around via RD8, RD5 and RD4. Closure is due to some logging and the deterioration of conditions because of this as well as the warmer temps.
The rest of the trails remain open, but riding in the valley will likely become rough after the next few days – if trails lose the snow, please respect landowners by remaining off of them. You can always trailer to get riding through the rest of the season by Lower or Upper Michigan Rd.
Trails got beat up a bit over the weekend, but we’ve been working to get them back in shape. Weather today was warm, but it was cold enough last night that we were able to get out and groom. Groomed 29 miles (14.5 miles of trail groomed twice) over 5 hours last night. Took a ride this morning to see how things looked. Still looked good, although a little torn up in a couple spots from some sleds that went over before the trails got set up. The trails were quite hard this morning!
With the warm temps today and tomorrow, grooming isn’t likely but the trails shouldn’t be hurt by it and we’ll be back out grooming as soon as possible. It is recommended to avoid riding tomorrow and get back out on Thursday when the cold returns.
Haven’t posted an update in awhile, but it gets old saying the same thing over and over. Trails are in the best shape I can remember seeing them in! Even with our Tucker down for most of the week, our trails remained in very good shape. We had some help from our neighbors and Dot and I also got out and groomed what we could with sleds and small drags. Took a ride into Rochester and up to Bunker Hill yesterday and the whole ride was mint! If you aren’t riding now, then you are missing out! Just get out there!
I’m really not sure what to post for trail updates anymore. I think I could just have the same thing posted ever few days. More snow, great trails..etc!
We’ve got plenty of snow and keep getting more. This is probably one of the best years we’ve had in a while. If there’s any downside, its just that the snow is so light so trails do tend be soft and can get bumped up more easily..etc. Grooming will continue as frequently as possible. Enjoy the riding! Post your pictures to our facebook page or email them to me at info@tweedvalleytravelers.com.
Just get out and ride. The trails are in great shape for the most part. The snow we’ve had is soft though, so things can get bumped up quickly so don’t be surprised to find variable conditions. But one thing is for sure – there is PLENTY of snow!
Enjoy the weekend riding – trails are in great shape! More snow on the way too with over a foot forecast through the storm ending Monday/Tuesday. Take some pictures out there and share them or send them to me at info@tweedvalleytravelers.com and I’ll put them up on the site!
