Our trails are generally in good shape now. There is still ice underneath the snow in areas, so use caution. It’s 39 degrees in town right now and the snow is soft and wet. Cold temps should be back overnight and stick around hopefully for awhile. We’ll be out grooming when possible to get things back into great shape as soon as we can. Have fun and as always, ride with caution!

Club meeting 2/14/19 at the Clear
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the 2nd Thursday of the month and our monthly club meeting at 7 pm. I realize it’s also Valentine’s Day, but we also have a special birthday to celebrate plus the Clear has a Paint ‘n Sip event happening too. Bring your valentine and join us. There may be cake…Thanks to all who help us.
Snow is starting!
The snow has started and we’re supposed to get enough to help get the trails back into good shape. Groomer should be out in the morning. If you ride tonight or tomorrow, right with caution. Ice will still be there, just covered up. Hopefully the snow sticks to it! When riding in fresh snow, try to help pack down by not riding in the same track as everyone else. That just helps us when we groom.
And we’re on twitter – all posts to our site will update there as well and we will see about other ways we might use it, such as quick tweets from the trail..etc.

Weather update
Hi folks ~ we have a bit more warm weather and rain to get through, but then colder temps begin tomorrow night. The rain/warmer temps have caused the valley trails to be soft as I could see along Rte. 100. Higher elevations/wooded areas would be less impacted. Colder weather will help freeze things back up. As always, please use caution when riding, especially crossing streets and at intersections. Think SNOW!!!
Warmer week, followed by cold next week.
Looks like another warm up this week, followed by some rain towards the end of the week. It doesn’t look like it will have too much of an impact since our trails are in great shape and we survived heavy rain two weeks ago, we can certainly survive some light rain and warmer temps. As always use caution if you are out riding. Looks like we get back into some cold weather Friday night.

Trails looking great!
Groomer was out last night and this morning grooming the last few trails that hadn’t been groomed since the snow Tue/Wed. Overall our trails are in great shape (best so far this season!) with a few rough spots. As always, use caution, ride to the right and have a fun time out there!
Trails are looking good!
Groomer was out again last night. So all our trails have been groomed since last Friday now. They are starting to shape up and with more snow today/tonight and cold temps we should continue to see them improve. Just be aware there are still some wet spots and water holes on the trails. Ride with caution as always and expect hazards to still be out there.

Sunday trail update
All the trails in our Michigan (73/74/745) area have been groomed between Friday and Saturday. This is where the best riding is. We also groomed to Rd59 last night via 100S. That is also in good condition. The rest of our trails will be groomed when possible. Many sections are in rough shape with bare spots or standing water. Use caution when riding. Weather this week looks good so we expect conditions to improve. We are lucky to be in the shape we’re in considering the number of trails we have near water and what the water did in some sections. I’ve posted some pictures below. The trail by the wall at riverside is a river. We recommend avoiding this until we can get permission to detour around or fix it.

Trails open Saturday!
We’re hoping the majority of wet areas on our trails freeze overnight and we have done some grooming to improve some sections that were hit hard. Grooming will continue over the weekend. Groomed sections overall are in great shape, although even the groomed sections can have unexpected hazards. As always, ride with caution.
Trail Update
We got out to check some of the trails today. Overall, things look pretty good – certainly better then I expected! There are some bad spots on some sections of trails though and some very wet spots on other sections. We aren’t going to change the status of the trails at this time. The wet areas need to freeze and we need to groom what we can. We’ll be grooming as soon as possible and expect many of our trails to be ride-able tomorrow. Here’s some pictures from my ride today.
