Warm weather and rain have put an end to the season. It wasn’t the greatest season we’ve had, but it was a good season in comparison to last year. Let’s hope next year is even better!

We expect to get enough snow to re-open our trails for riding. HOWEVER, keep in mind that no one has been on the trails in the past couple of weeks and we’ve had a lot of wind. We expect trees to be down and the trails to need clearing. If you are thinking of riding after the storm, please consider doing what you can to help clean up. This will help us get grooming sooner. We’re not going to send the groomer out until we know that the trails are clear. And ride safe, we’re going to be looking at early season conditions again with the majority of areas being back down to bare ground.

Weather is not looking good, but we do still have a lot of snow in the mountains. Groomer has been out a couple times since Sunday trying to get things in shape after the busy weekend. I’m not sure when additional grooming will take place given this stretch of weather. Valley and other areas are likely to deteriorate so expect variable conditions.
Hopefully we get some colder weather next week and some snow more snow at some point!
The By-Pass trail to services is now closed and marked as such. Too many riders are not obeying the curfew, speed limits or staying on the trail. We are going to do what we can to come up with an alternative and/or to get this reopened. Riders need to respect the land owners and residents in the area (and all our areas) and obey posted signs and speed limits. Even in places where nothing is posted, use some common sense when riding by homes.
If you need to get gas and are coming from the West or South, you’ll need to get gas via RD15 taking 100N to 112N to RD3, then RD2 and 100S to the services trail. This is approximately 13 miles from RD8. Please plan accordingly.
I haven’t measured, but I think its safe to say we had over 12″ of snow between yesterday and overnight. I was out grooming from 5 to midnight and groomed all of our trails in the national forest – most twice, a few just one pass. Lots of snow out there and the trails are looking good! The rest of the trails will be groomed this week as well!

We haven’t had the best weather lately, but we have had some snow among some rain. Here’s some shots taken while grooming yesterday and last night. The majority of trails in the National forest we’re groomed – at least one way, many groomed both ways. They are in decent shape now. I’ll update later today on the rest of our trails. Snow in the valley is not as good and we have not groomed anything else yet. Groomer will be out today trying to fill in more water bars in the national forest section of trails.

We only got 3-4″ of snow this week and all this did was cover up the ice making thing look better then they are. We do not recommend riding until we get more snow. We are not grooming until we get more snow either.
And PLEASE when you do ride, obey all signs and do not ride off trail. We have had enough issues with our trails so far this year, we do not need any more.
The services trail is roughly as outlined below in blue and it is signed. This trail is design to get to services from west/south without having to detour around. This is not designed to be a thru trail and should only be used if you need access to fuel and are not able to go around the longer way. If you aren’t going to or coming from services, then you should not be on this new trail. The 10mph speed limit MUST be observed and you need to obey the stop signs. Trail is only open 10am to 8pm and should not be ridden at any other time. Law enforcement will be monitoring and ticketing. We do not want to lose this trail, so please help us keep it by riding responsibly.
Trail conditions are early season still. Weather is not looking to help them so ride with caution if you ride. We’ll post another update after we see what this latest weather does.
Re-routed trail for services access
Currently our trails aren’t open for riding – they are icy and bare. Weather forecast looks good for us getting some decent snow Friday, so trails should be ride-able after that with early season conditions (hazards such as open water bars, possible down trees, ice..etc). We’ll post another update once we see what the storm brings.
